What a super, uplifting version of a song I have to say I didn't rate at all in its original form. Gareth Gates is such a shining star and isn't afraid to send himself up - which is great for a boy his age. Gareth's popularity has definitely sent sales rocketing. His singing and dancing are excellent and the Kumars contribution and the theme is so much fun.
It certainly deserves the success it is experiencing and would have undoubtedly been a big hit even if the proceeds hadn't been going to charity. I would have bought it in any case.

After the dissapointing chart position of the rather dreary original "What my heart wants to say", Gareth returns to safe territory with yet another cover version.....but fear not this one is actually a goodie and really hits the mark! Featuring voiceovers from The Kumars, this is the offical 2003 Comic Relief charity single and make no mistake, this will sell by the truckload. The "Bollywood" style backing track is extremely uplifting and rather refreshing and there is no doubt that Gareth is in fine voice. This is a great pop track and after one play, you'll find yourself humming it all day. The Kumars are mildy amusing on first hearing but thereafter become rather irritating, instead play the "clean" version featuring just Gareth. Get used to this one now as your going to be hearing this for months !!

A brilliant song just right for Comic Relief brlliantly sang by Gareth Gates, very upbeat with a lovely dance routine attached which the kids will love to copy. Gareth is giving a great rendition of this song, and his lovely velvety smooth and clear voice is just great to listen to. I do prefer the version without the Kumars though, even though the video with the Kumars for Comic Relief is so funny.
I am also looking forward to the new song on there from Gareth.
All in all a very good buy, cant wait to receive it.

A comic relief song with spirit!!!!
I have to say that I love the new single by Gareth Gates, Spirit in the Sky. I love the Bollywood theme, the great thumping beat and the total exhuberance that the song projects. Read more
