HISTORY

spirella was founded in 1958 by Anton-A. Heuberger. At that time showers were still relatively unknown in Switzerland, which is why the company founder always maintained with pride that he introduced the Swiss people to showering through the launching of the shower curtain!

The fast-growing firm was converted into a family owned stock corporation. Since 1988 spirella s.a. has been part of the German Leifheit Group, and as a subsidiary of LEIFHEIT AG is headed by Manager Ernst Kraft

Today spirella s.a. is an internationally oriented company with subsidiaries of its own in France and Germany as well as distributor partners in over 60 export markets

The Embrach location produces mainly shower curtains and shower curtain rails. It also houses sales and marketing, a large showroom, the administration and the spirella Design Studio. spirella currently employs about 160 staff in Switzerland
