Kylie is back to what she does best.....singing great pop tunes! SPINNING AROUND is her first release in 2 years, and it was well worth the wait. It is by far her best single to date, and reminds us of the Kylie we all know and love. The two other tracks on the CD are both great songs. The first is COVER ME WITH KISSES, an up-tempo track that shows Kylie can rock as well as pop! The other track is PAPER DOLLS, a beautiful ballad with fantastic vocals, which could have been released as a single in its own right. Worth buying for this track alone!

Spinning Around and More!

In addition to Kylie's return to pop with Spinning Around, there are two bonus tracks that are equally exciting. Sounding nothing at all like Spinning Around or even indications of the new album, Cover Me With Kisses and Paper Dolls are great songs in their own right.
Cover Me With Kisses is a catchy sixties pastiche with very irreverent lyrics spoofing a Hollywood movie. FUN!
Paper Dolls is lovely, breezy acoustic number and quite different from anything she's done before.
Look for the stunning new album due in September.

Cover Me With Kisses and Paper Dolls are available on Kylie's website. Cover Me With Kisses is a cute song, and has a 60s, swinging feel. Paper Dolls is mellow and sounds acoustic. I didn't have to buy the single. Just went to Kylie's website and downloaded these non-album tracks. The songs are good, but not necessary for casual fans, but rather for die-hard fans of Kylie. Kylie has come a long way - and this BRILLIANT come-back single just happens to prove it. From the 'I Should Be So Lucky' days, up 'til now, Kylie has been a sensation to me. This may be no 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' but it's pretty darn good !!! The single is taken from her brilliant album, also, 'Light Years', which also includes 'Please Stay', 'Kids', 'On A Night Like This', 'Butterfly', 'Your Disco Needs You' & of course the title track, 'Light Years', plus 8 more tracks including 'Spinning Around'.
'Cover Me With Kisses' is also a great dance song which begins with the words, "Jump Back, Tell A Friend", which adds a disco feel to this song - and that's exactly what it is !!! ~ 5 stars
'Paper Dolls' is a nice summer breeze-guitarish song ~ 5 stars
'Spinning Around' ~ 5 stars
There is also a remixes set for this single which includes exclusive remixes which are fab !!!, so get that too !!!
