Purchased for a six and a half year old, who enjoys craft activities, and is usually very good at them. She had no difficulty sticking the 'pegs' to the pre-glued plastic sheet to make the fish. However, the dog on the stand was a different matter, and was far too difficult and 'annoying' for her to tackle. The instructions advised to stick the pegs on the head first, then the body - almost impossible to do and get them to stay where put. I found the little pegs constantly fell off, and even once completed, the attached (eyes/nose/ears etc) all tended to go the same way. Once completed it was a case of gingerly placing on a shelf and hoping for the best. Would not recommend this to anyone.

This is a craft activity - you are supposed to stick paper sticks onto a 3-D model and a number of plastic sheets. The problem is you are meant to use tweezers to do this, which is fiddly, and as the glue is not very very sticky when the child has finished the item it isn't particularly solid. My child got pretty annoyed making the dog, and is pretty patient when doing crafts and will, eg, have fun doing HAMA for ages. This is not a quality set in my opinion, they've appealed to children with clever marketing but the reality is not much fun and a pretty pointless activity. I do know of one little girl who enjoyed this, but resounding thumbs down here I am afraid. I would recommend HAMA or Aquabeads instead as they seem to have more creativity involved and make something slightly more durable and satifying.

I have a 3 and a 5 year old. They both loved this product. My 3 year old did need some adult help to ensure she got the paper rolls in the correct place but not much. My 5 year old did it all herself once she worked out what she was doing. Both spent over an hour working on the models with me and said over and over how much fun it was. They did find fingers easier than the supplied tweezers to put the paper rolls in place but this worked well. Some of the paper rolls do fall off (as mentioned in other comments) but good glue holds them well in place so this is not a problem at all. My kids were so impressed with the kit that they have asked for more to do. If you are happy to work with younger children on this then it is a good fun activity to do together. Older children would be able to manage it themselves.
