Product Description

Theresa wants to know one thing.
Is there something wrong with her?
Because from what she can see, she has money, brains, a body that does the job. Yet, she keeps getting shelved. Most recently, by her fiancé who happens to be the DA.
And she'll get over it, really. No problem. She'll just have a nice, short encounter with a mysterious Italian named Antonio who may or may not be involved with some kind of alleged criminal activity...blah blah...
Let's call a spade a spade.
He's a mobster.
Let's face a few more facts.
He's hot. He's smart. And if anyone breathes on her the wrong way, he's got no problem beating their head against a Porsche until they're willing to lick up their own vomit to make it stop.
Just about everything about that turns her on.
Yeah. There's something wrong with her.

**MATURE AUDIENCES--Rough sex. Dirty talk. Criminal activity. Cursing. Fisticuffs. Closed course. Professional driver. Do not try this at home.**

5.0 out of 5 stars Smoldering Page Turner 13 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I don't giveaway stars easily, and when I say a book is a must read, I REALLY mean it. Well, Spin by C.D. Reiss is a must read!

When I read the teaser for Spin by C.D. Reiss, I thought it was going to be her best work yet, and I was right. Reiss can write sexy love scenes that pop like water in a hot skillet, and she doesn't forget that there needs to be a plot and a lucid, compelling story beyond and between those love scenes. Her writing is erudite and her attention to detail is amazing. Her description of various sensations--smell and touch not just sight--add so much to the reader's experience. I could smell Antonio's cologne. I could hear Pam's rhythmic tapping on her stapler. I could feel the velvety petals of the roses.

This book shone a spotlight on the author's ability to incorporate humor and smoldering anticipation into the same scene. I loved how Reiss tied in tidbits and story lines from her previous books. This book isn't just a spin-off of her prior series, Songs of Submission; this story starts a new series with a timeline that is parallel to the last series but focuses on the sister(s) of Jonathan Drazen (much loved male lead of Songs of Submission). Reiss weaves these story lines together like a crofter on the Isle of Harris weaving tweed. We get a little insight to Margie, but the focus is Theresa Drazen, heiress, socialite and accountant to WDE talent agency and ex-girlfriend of mayoral candidate, Daniel Browser.

Antonio Spinelli lights Theresa's passion, and she finds there is life beyond debits and credits. Antonio finds his reason to live, to love, to commit and to fight. While there are descriptive sex scenes, they're not graphically written merely for shock-value. They are a slow, sweaty, humid afternoon without A.C.; they are fireworks bursting on a warm July night.

"Capo," I whispered. **Goosebumps**
Antonio Spinelli, Esq is "....the picture of masculine grace." He's a man who keeps his council. Do NOT question him and the underworld in which he lives. There are no measures he will NOT take to PROTECT. I love protector stories and Antonio Spinelli is a protector in the extreme.

Theresa Drazen runs an accountancy department for the biggest agency in Hollywood. She's a clever, wealthy lady with a past of her very own.....

".....sharing breath and space." They're drawn together.
Trust is an issue for both of them, for different reasons.....
Can they trust each other? They live in different worlds, they're opposites but in some ways they match.
Antonio releases something in Theresa and it's truly wonderful and sexy to witness. He empowers her mind and her body.
They expose vulnerabilities in each other.

I can't reveal any more about the story of Spin. It needs to be experienced as it reveals itself piece by beautiful piece.Immerse yourself in Spinelli's world and discover the life of the Capo and the Woman of Grace....
The experience is lovely.

My lovely feelings:
The writing is powerful....
I felt nervous anticipation. I welled up with tears. My heart twisted and ached. Could they be together?

The hero and heroine have an extremely strong sense of identity. Spinelli is charisma and danger personified. She's beautiful, a perfectionist, and unflappable. Released from her constraints and empowered.

It's incredibly HOT and SEXY, RAW and SENSUAL
The way they want each other is desperate and carnal and lustful.
It's breathtaking.

"Let me take you. Let me own you."
The shower was scorching hot!!!

4.5 Delicious Capo Stars!

Theresa Drazen is a Los Angeles socialite and money manager for a big Hollywood studio. She is an heiress so she works because she wants to and is still getting over her broken engagement to the current District Attorney who is now running for Mayor. She broke up with Daniel because he cheated on her with his speechwriter and it wasn't exactly a secret. "Tee-Dray" as she is known by her roommate Kristina (a struggling film directrix) is done with perceived by the press as the wronged woman, the victim.

She meets a delicious pine-smelling hunk of man when she is out one evening in the most embarrassing way! Then another night, he rescues her from some douche-bag who is about to beat up on her and her sister Diedre, who is incapacitated.

There is a bit of a struggle between her ex, who is trying to get back together with her and Antonio Spinelli, who is the delicious man, who is apparently a lawyer from Napoli, who seems to run a lot of businesses.

Daniel tries to control her and forbids her from getting involved with Antonio. Its unclear what Antonio really does, but his associates and their methods of intimidation make an impression. Antonio's intimate scenes with Theresa are scorching hot! Yum. Theresa never had it so good with Daniel, good riddance!

Hopefully there will be a sequel and this story sheds more light on Jonathan, Theresa's sex addict of a brother! (After I read this I realized that Jonathan is featured in the Songs of Submission series, which I started and did not finish (yet). I like Antonio better in this series so much more, he is an alpha (but not so domineering and bdsm-y like Jonathan) in his interactions with Theresa, a totally different vibe.) The Drazen family is featured in all of C.D.
