This is probably one of the best children's books I have read for some time. There are some very strong characters in the book, the story is well written and takes you through the full gamut of emotions. Definitely a must read for young teenagers.

Spilled water is a amazing new novel by Sally Grindley. It has a great storyline, and also has good detail of the characters and their emotions.
It has a true meaning, i couldn't help myself but read on and find out what happens to the main character Lu Si-Yan.
I defintley recomend it to anyone, especially teenagers!

A magnificent book conveying the harshness of a childhood in China with a rare dignity and beauty. One of the most moving and engaging childrens books written in recent years.

I enjoyed this book - it was quick and easy to read. It is about a girl in China whose Father dies. She has to go and work. It's her life told in a way that you can relate to.
