What a good idea, yes. However, the quality of the plastic is poor. The stopper is not made of rubber, as one would imagine for it to be effective, but thin, bendy plastic, and such thin plastic that one of the stoppers that arrived contained a minute hole where the plastic was so thin. While the stoppers did fit the holes, none of them actually plugged the holes very well. The lids were also of such low quality plastic that one of the lids arrived scuffed and grazed. If you want to serve the purpose and can't find anything more durable-looking, then do get them as they are better than nothing. However, at £1 a pot, these are expensive for the low-grade material used, especially since it looked like it would give in even before it was used. I returned mine (seller was happy to do so) since I never like to purchase such cheap quality plastic.
