"Now, about that spanking," she said.
Charlie pulled himself back from a delicious plan he'd been forming, which involved taking his own clothes off and then carrying her to the bed. "I guess I'd better get undressed, then."
"No, silly. Why would you need to be undressed to spank me?"
"But I thought I lost the bet."
"Which means I get to choose who does what, remember? It's usually more fun if the person doing the spanking keeps his clothes on."
Charlie's mind went blank for a moment, his expectations utterly confounded. He'd been wondering how it was going to feel to be spanked by her. Almost looking forward to it, in a curious way. He didn't suppose she'd have whacked him particularly hard, in fact he thought he might well have enjoyed it, but even so he was happy to learn that she'd be the one to present her wriggling bare ass, and he'd be the one to paddle her, instead.
It wasn't that he wanted to hurt her, not really. Though it seemed she might want to be hurt. When Charlie considered that possibility, an unfamiliar sadistic shiver ran down his spine. Perhaps he wanted to hurt her, after all.

Han Li Thorn has the ability to present the conflicting desires of a woman for submission and rebellion, and he sates them both with doses of domination and victory. I enjoyed this book because of the exceptionally high quality of writing and character development. This is definitely something lacking in most erotica, especially bdsm. The high tech control aspects were slightly annoying at times, but not enough to change my rating. I especially liked how he is able to bring out the masterful and forceful aspects of the normally gentle and quiet Charlie - just the kind of strong-but-loving man that a lot of us like to read about. I hope Han Li Thorn's writes more erotica - soon!
What an Interesting Novella

This was an enjoyable read. I'm not generally a fan of foot and leg fetish (not that I've actually come across any aside from this), but I did like this. Han Li Thorn writes very well and I really got a kick out of the science-fiction element to the story. My only disappointment with this novella is that it ended too soon (no spoilers from me!). I will definitely pick up more from this author in the future.
