Spiderstalk is a novel that will have you turning pages all night long. Written with the thrill of arachnophobic horror in mind, the story keeps a relentless pace and manages to offer a few surprises in its mash up of genres. The story develops complexity and, as with many horrors of this type, it amplifies natural fears so that everyday experiences become monstrous and grotesquely distorted. The characters are well drawn and the writing shows real skill in its ability to measure and fuse scenic detail with plot development. If you appreciate the stylistic genius of Stephen King then you'll love D. Nathan Hilliard.
