How would you like a gorilla for a teacher? Or spiders for dinner? This book follows Kate's early experiance at this unusual school. Full of humour this book would be great for five to seven year olds. They can explore early experiences at school and their feelings about it. Great for teachers, to develop and stimulate story writing,in Key Stage 1. A book that could be read over and over again. An imaginative and hilarious book.

Thought this was a good little read together book for my granddaughter as she is starting school in September. Perspective may be needed if you have a very sensitive little girl as she may take it too seriously and be put off her first day at school.

The illustrations in the book aren't brilliant but the story itself truly makes up for it. My children love this story because, not liking school themselves, can kind of relate to it.
