Its a black and white text/graphic book.It takes you through the first game without the expansions. The maps and locations of the Monsters/NPC's are what make it good, and why I bought it. The rest is ok,but you can get just as much from any walk-through online. There are virtually no maps of any quality online that I could find, with locations of items and NPC's for quests. The game requires not only RTS,but a significant amount of role playing which you must do to further the main story. While doing this,a lot of the quests require you to go back and forth to different maps via the bindstones,so that's where this book comes in handy. You could play the game without it completely and still have a lot of fun.I found the "FACTS" section ,about 40 pages,in the end of the book to be quite useless,as all the items in the game can be moused over for the stats. As far as the "Mobs "data also in the back,I had no need or desire to even look at it.So I leave it up to you as to its worth or value to your own personal game experience.
