Most dictionaries are too laborious to look up since most of the space is filled with definitions. Our children generally look up a dictionary for spelling a word they want to use in writing; they already know the meaning. This dictionary lists the root words and then shows, simply, how the endings are added. Even our children, who are still getting used to alphabetical order find this dictionary easy to navigate. The way the words are presented with their root and possible ending teaches the tricks of spelling without mystery or long-winded explanation. This dictionary is a fantastic route to independent learning. Many thanks to the editors/author for thinking about the user for once!

Bought by myself to improve our Grandaughters spelling and to give her the interest she needed to enjoy reading and spelling and it worked a treat since I gave it to her she has never been without it and her spelling has impoved out of sight her teachers have informed us of the improvement

Good for my dyslexic 9 year old- easier to use than a standard dictionary and much better than me spelling words for him.
