Having previously bought two of the v1. aquabeats and being very disappointed to find that they broke after the first couple of uses I was dubious as to whether to spend more and try this one, however.....
I am incredibly glad that I did! I have had it about 6 months, using it 5 days a week and it is still working perfectly. There are still quite a few problems to sort out but it's worth the money unlike v1. and hopefully there will be a v3. out soon which will be even better!
Pros:
- Sound quality is good
- the clip is good for both goggles and swimming costumes
- Headphones stay in your ears well
- There is no chance of getting bored and you are motivated to swim longer!
Cons:
- adding music can be a little difficult, especially when bought of iTunes, and I seem to have a large amount of unknown format songs left on the mp3 now which I can't find to delete and they stop the continuous play of music, but it's not a huge problem.
- The controls can be quite difficult to begin with, but if you download the manual from the Speedo website you will soon be able to do it without looking.
- I have not quite worked out how to shuffle the songs, can be a tad repetitive
- My earphones broke just after 3 months, and they only have a 3 month warranty and replacement ones can be quite expensive
However, as previously stated, it is a great product, just not perfect! if you are really looking for something to make swimming laps a little more fun, then this is definitely worth it!!!
