I ordered this product to replace my on board sound card and for the price i seemed to be getting a lot, i especially liked the optical in and out but was disappointed to find that the optical in will only output to 2.0 and NOT 5.1 which i was planning on using with my ps3 (ps3 - pc sound card and out of 5.1 speakers) but you will only be able to get 2.0 so now im looking some av receivers and speakers.
A good soundcard for the money but a little disappointed in the optical features.

I bought the SpeedLink soundcard as following an upgrade to Windows 7 the onboard soundcard was no longer recognised due lack of any drivers being available. I installed the SpeedLink card which was very easy with only one cable to connect from the onboard DVD drive. Unfortunatly the drivers on the enclosed CD do not seem to work for Windows 7 64 Bit, but a visit to the manufacturer's website allowed me to download the latest drivers which worked perfectly. The soundcard provides excellent sound quality considering the small price tag and hassle free to install.
A very fast and efficient service. No hassle and no delay. Just what I want from an e-service. Thank you

Soundcard not up to scratch.
I needed a sound card that would perform well with optical in and out. This did not - sound was distorted on occasions, and no really suitable software. Read more

Bad card
Great sound and all but frequently loss of sound for <10 seconds, like every half hour if you use the SPDIF, otherwise fine- but SPDIF is why I bought it so 2 stars

A good budget sound card compatible with Win 7
I was a little sceptical when I bought this, bearing in mind its cheapness but I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that really lets it down is a lack of up-to-date drivers. Read more
