Fun:
great usb hub, fits perfect and blends in with the console nicely.
there are two little nipples of plastic at each end to slot into the air vents on the console to keep it secure, the first one does not clip in place on the 40GB model as there is not a hole in the vent where this nipple goes, however the second one clips in fine.
there is no power issues at all when you have all ports in use.
there is the first usb port that says direct port, the packaging says this is used for high powered devices like portable hard drives, well there is no need for this port to be honest as my portable hard drive is powered fine by one of the other ports.
if you end up with all your ports in use but need more then this is the product for you. nice and cheap, quite strong aswel.

After a few weeks one of the USBs became intermittent.
But I have USB external drive on "direct" port.
Play TV on another.
hub -> mouse, keyboard on another
play Camera on another
occaision use of memory stick on last (dodgy) connector.
Doesnt seem to grip to my "pre-slim" version so you have to exercise caution when taking devices out.
But makes up for lack of ports on PS3 and looks like it belongs on the PS3.

Fun:
I replaced my older PS3 with a slim machine which is a much cheaper and less well equiped machine. The older machines had 4 USB slots and the new one only 2 slots. This USB expander is the perfect way to fix the problem of having more peripherals than slots. It does exactly what it says on the tin and functions correctly with my headset, controllers, camera, keyboard, mouse etc.
