Product Description

Product Description

When Bonnie discovers that her best friend's somehow got involved with a weird cult somewhere in the Wilds of Scotland, she knows she's got to try to talk her out of it, even if that means an epic road trip up the M1, Rich in tow. Rich doesn't think the idea's too fantastic, especially when he discovers that Bonnie's high-maintenance weirdo mum, Tigger, is close behind, together with the best friend's mum, and he has to put up with Bonnie's driving. What is it about having a girlfriend? Why do they come with so much baggage? Rich is beginning to mourn for his days of tortured lust from a distance...

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit of a let down compaired to Hard Cash and Shacked Up., 26 Mar 2003
By
Sarah L. Oatham "somethinglikesarah" (Southampton, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Speeding (Point) (Paperback)
although i cannot recommend these 3 books highly enough i couldnt help but think the story was a bit unbelievable in Speeding.

i think that the difference is that young people like me could relate very much to the first 2 books but i found that a story about a cult up on scotland was unrealistic. the good points however was the strength of Rich's and Bonnie relationship and the strength of the friendship between bonnie and liz.

overall, i think the last book in this wonderful series of teenage books could have been more 'everyday' like the first books were. Kate Canns honest, funny and interesting style of writing just doesnt allow you to put the book down. this isnt the best book ive read (unlike Hard Cash which is probably one of my favourite books) but a good way to complete a section of Rich's life that we've so closely followed.

Absolutely fabulous!
This book is the last part of the trylogy in which Richard, the main character, transforms himself from a rebllious teenager into a very grown up young man.He found his true love and he is desperate to have his first, real relationship with Bonny. He is prepared to do his utamost to show her how much he cares about her.
I'd like to recommend this book everyone becouse it's really worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Trilogy...Kate Cann Rocks, 31 Dec 2003
This review is from: Speeding (Point) (Paperback)
This trilogy is awesome...i absolutely love all of Kate Cann's books! the first i read was Greecian Holiday( i think it's titled something different in the UK) and the love trilogy(with Art and Colette) and i couldn't even put the books down! Then i started to read Hard Cash and immediately went online and bought the next two since they're not avaliable in the US yet! All of Kate Cann's books are so enjoyable and realastic, but still had a bit of humor. So as long as Kate Cann keeps writing books like these i will keep buyin em!
