Product Description

For fans of Stephen King, Joe Hill, and James Herbert. A paranormal conference at the most haunted hotel in the Blue Ridge Mountains goes haywire when ghost hunters accidentally stir up demons.

SPEED DATING WITH THE DEAD

When Digger Wilson brings his paranormal team Spirit Seekers International to the White Horse Inn, he is skeptical that his dead wife will keep her half of the bargain. He doesn’t believe in ghosts, and just before she died, she promised to meet him there.

But when one of the conference guests channels a mysterious presence and an Ouija board spells out a pet phrase known only to Digger and his wife, his convictions are challenged.

And when guests start to disappear, Digger and his daughter Kendra must face the circle of demons that view the hotel as their personal playground. Because soon the inn will be closing for good, angels can’t be trusted, and demons don’t like to play alone . . .

3.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Author but don't read this one first 24 July 2011

I started with Creative Spirit for under £1 and it was amazing. On the strength of this book I bought several others with birthday money. I read this one 2nd. Disappointing in comparising to Creative Spirit. I am now reading The Skull Ring which (half way though) is gripping and extremely exciting. I'd hate anyone to read this Speed Dating story first and out of these 3 it is the less satisfactory by a long way. It is confused and the characterisation isn't the same standard either. READ SCOTT NICHOLSON but don't see this as his best please.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read - Classic story 2 Sep 2012

Read this on Sat 1st Sept 2012. It was a great book to curl up on the settee and read in one sitting while the rain lashed against the windows and wind blew - perfect:-D

I enjoyed Scott Nicholson's style, this story is a classic. It contains all the twists and characters you would like to read if, like me, you are a fan of this stuff. Its an easy read, has a certain humour to it, kept me entertained, I liked the teenage character.

This is my 1st book by this author and I will be looking to read more - I wonder if he reads S.King?

The book has 54 chapters - none are too long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read. 23 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is my first Scott Nicholson novel, but it won't be my last. Well written light horror, with a touch of comedy. Sounds odd but it's not. Scary enough to make me stop reading it at night, but no nightmares and I had it finished by lunchtime the next day, couldn't put it down. A very entertaining take on ghost hunting weekends.
Am going to find another of his novels on my Kindle for today's reading.
