Epitome of solution based rap MUSIC. 8 Jun 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Speeches down to earth, empowering lyrics blend so smoothly with his dope hits. Why You Gotta Be Feelin' Like Dat? wakes youth up to living life as a gift and not as a drag. Poor Little Music Boy boisterously promotes spirituality and cosmos type thinking. Peace, Preach and Speak, Speech!
R'n'B Hip Hop without the usual I have money/ women lyrics 30 Dec 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I listened to this album expecting something like Arrested Devlopment, and was pleasantly surprised! The sound speech has created is nothing, some may say, as new, but very interesting. However, his lyrics at times are facinating and enchanting. The lovers of Lauryn Hill's new album may like some of the tracks here.

Speech's softly spoken voice blends well in many of the sublime, and r'n'b oriented music which presents it self on this album. Particulary with the "Afican" sounding drum tracks.

The CD puts foward new ideas of Speech which, I hate to admit it well could be enhanced, but nevertheless jumps from mainstream music and places it self in the little niche called r'n'b soul/Hip-hop.

The whole album may take a while to grow on you, but after a while Speech's music lasts.

This album, I hope paves the way for other Hip-Hop artists to venture in to newer forms of music and not just stay with the boring Hip-hop gangster genre.

If you want R'n'B with a twist, try this.
