I home educate my children and have tried lots of other handwriting books, workbooks and programs but was never entirely satisfied with them until I found the Spectrum Handwriting series. This is the best I've so far used. Here are a few things I really like about it:
1) It has a gradual approach with each book building up from the previous one. As most other handwriting books aren't part of a series, it can be hard to find the next suitable level for your child to use. 2) There's lots of practice with about 60+ pages in each book. Other books seem very lacking in comparison and won't give enough practice in one skill before jumping on to the next. It's also perfect for daily/weekly practice. 3) Everything you need is in one book as children can write on the pages - no need for separate exercise books. 4) It's photocopiable, so perfect if you need more than one copy, no need to buy lots of the same book. 5) Each page has a little 'How did you do?' section for children to tick. This is useful to see because you'll be able to see how happy they are with their writing.
