Product Description

Product Description

This pump will take care of all your breast milk expressing needs – whether they be the occasional need to pump if you are having a night out or if you are a hard working Mum who expresses eight times a day. Whisper quiet, so your pumping wont disturb your baby, and with a gentle, yet highly effective pumping action, the Spectra 3 makes life easier for all pumping Mums.

The Spectra 3 comes as a single pump as standard, but can easily be adapted as a dual with the addition of an extra breast shield set. Dual pumping is a great way to save time and by increasing the stimulation of the breasts, often results in a greater milk flow and better supply. The automatic suck and release rhythm simulates a baby’s sucking rhythm for a more natural expression of breast milk. The Spectra also has fully adjustable suction power, which enables Mums to set it at a level that is right for them.

There is no need to worry about adaptability, the pump fits all standard bottles and an adaptor, that comes with the pump, allows it to be used with wide-necked bottles. All components in contact with your milk are BPA free.

This pump is built to last with durable piston pump technology.

A full range of accessories is available including breast shield set sizes up to XX large.

Product Description

The Spectra 3 is designed for mothers who would like a quality mains electric breast pump at an affordable price. Unlike many others on the market this pump is extremely quiet allowing use without disturbing your baby. The rhythmic pumping action emulates that of the feeding baby. An optional breast cup can be added for dual expression, if required. It has fully adjustable suction power. There is a two year warranty (excluding the breast shield) and is suitable for home use. The spectra attaches to most standard sized bottles (eg Avent) and is compatible with Medela accessories.

5.0 out of 5 stars SPECTRA breastpump recommended 8 Sep 2009
I bought this after struggling with a hand held and a cheaper version sold by Boots. This was wonderful- quiet operation, painless (can adjust it so starts slow and increae) it has a nice ryththmical action is extremely efficient and just more natural feeling which is important I think as no one wants to feel like a dairy animal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 30 Aug 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
We bought this after using a Medela Harmony handheld pump, which fell apart (rubber valves got torn) after only 4 weeks. If you need to express constantly like we did- our little one just wouldn't suckle directly- then you need a 'hospital-grade' pump, and this is the one to buy.

The handheld ones may be good for casual users, but for regular users the moving parts will soon wear out, valves tear and rubber bits fray; and as we found out, replacement parts are a nightmare to obtain. There are other 'hospital grade' pumps out there, but they're all much more expensive than this one- mainly because of all the bells and whistles which you're not likely to need anyway.

We used this regularly, twice a day, for 7 months without a single complaint. It's in the loft now, awaiting the next li'l 'un. Top marks for price, top marks for function, this is the pump for the regular user.

5.0 out of 5 stars great item & excellent value 31 Mar 2010
I bought this item after finding the Tommee Tippee manual pump hard going. After the manual I was loaned a Medula pump for a month. Finding this brand unaffordable to purchase I opted for the Specra as the reviews were very complimentary and price so reasonable. I have now been using this pump several times daily for 2month with great results. My little girl has all the expressed milk she needs and the dual pumping is time effective.

Because the manual pump she was using was ineffective. The Spectra pump has good reviews, the price is reasonable and it does what it says on the packet. Highly recommended.
