Product Description

Product Description

This pump will take care of all your breast milk expressing needs – whether they be the occasional need to pump if you are having a night out or if you are a hard working Mum who expresses eight times a day. Whisper quiet, so your pumping wont disturb your baby, and with a gentle, yet highly effective pumping action, the Spectra 3 makes life easier for all pumping Mums.

The Spectra 3 comes as a single pump as standard, but can easily be adapted as a dual with the addition of an extra breast shield set. Dual pumping is a great way to save time and by increasing the stimulation of the breasts, often results in a greater milk flow and better supply. The automatic suck and release rhythm simulates a baby’s sucking rhythm for a more natural expression of breast milk. The Spectra also has fully adjustable suction power, which enables Mums to set it at a level that is right for them.

There is no need to worry about adaptability, the pump fits all standard bottles and an adaptor, that comes with the pump, allows it to be used with wide-necked bottles. All components in contact with your milk are BPA free.

This pump is built to last with durable piston pump technology.

A full range of accessories is available including breast shield set sizes up to XX large.

I decided to wait atleast a month before reveing this product as i thought this would allow me to make a better more informed review.I decided to buy a electric breastpump because using a hand brest pump with a damaged wrist extremley uncomfortable. The first pump i used was a tommee tippee hand pump made quite a mess unless you firmley pressed the breast shield part agaist your skin.So i decided to look for a electric breastpump after checking alot of other breast pumps this had the best reviews for the best price i could aford being on a low income. This breast pump very easy to put to together, easy to clean and you can buy a backflow valve to go with it.This was a godsend it stopped me from breaking my breast pump.Me a new mum you get very tired in the first few weeks was using my breast pump i nodded off for but a second and i dropped the breastshield with bottle and milk. The backflow valve you can buy separate gave me enough time to stop the machine and prevent my machine from being damgaed. What i lernt though from using a breastpump is its easyer to express early morning/late evening. With this breastpump i started off for only a few minutes and as each day passed increased that time it takes some getting used to,If you have highley sensitive breasts then i do not advise you use this machine. You can change the suction but after a long wile expressing it can become slightley uncomfortable and i personally get a little swealing of the nipple but my breasts are not that sensitive so i have no probelm.I found that you need to express at the same time evry day that way your body will produce more milk each day at the time allowing you to store plenty of milk.I now use the pump for 45 minutes on each side as i found it takes this long to get to the fattyer milk wich will fill up your baby.Read more ›

I was amazed with this product. I've recently went back to work and I don't know what I would do without this electric breast pump. Milk expressing is painless and quick.

I had borrowed a medela mini electric pump from a friend and needed to get my own pump. This pump is great value for what it is. It is much quieter than the medela, cheaper and can be converted to a double for only a small amount of extra money. The only disadvantage of it compared to the mini electric is that it is less portable - it's heavier and cannot run on batterys. I would recommend it.

I'm so glad I bought this pump! Never used one before and was a bit concerned at how much cheaper this was than the Medela, but its working out brilliantly. I can express around 6oz in 15 mins with ease, at the same time as feeding baby from the other side. The dial is quite difficult to get the pressure right at first as there are no numbers or marks on it, but its fine as long as you only turn it very slowly, which is why my review is 4 stars not 5. Nips a bit sore for the first couple of days (no more than with my manual though) but fine now. The finish is a bit more clinical than other brands but it does the job and is excellent value for money. It's also very quiet. I'd really recommend it.

I bought this item after finding the Tommee Tippee manual pump hard going. After the manual I was loaned a Medula pump for a month. Finding this brand unaffordable to purchase I opted for the Specra as the reviews were very complimentary and price so reasonable. I have now been using this pump several times daily for 2month with great results. My little girl has all the expressed milk she needs and the dual pumping is time effective.

We bought this after using a Medela Harmony handheld pump, which fell apart (rubber valves got torn) after only 4 weeks. If you need to express constantly like we did- our little one just wouldn't suckle directly- then you need a 'hospital-grade' pump, and this is the one to buy.

The handheld ones may be good for casual users, but for regular users the moving parts will soon wear out, valves tear and rubber bits fray; and as we found out, replacement parts are a nightmare to obtain. There are other 'hospital grade' pumps out there, but they're all much more expensive than this one- mainly because of all the bells and whistles which you're not likely to need anyway.

We used this regularly, twice a day, for 7 months without a single complaint. It's in the loft now, awaiting the next li'l 'un. Top marks for price, top marks for function, this is the pump for the regular user.

This is a great find! Strong pump, really gets the job done - and a great price! Only downside is that you can't sterlise the parts in a microwave steamer.

I purchased this product after my tommee tippee electric breast pump broke. This is far superior to the tommee tippee model of a similar price.
It has good suction with and knob that allows you to easily alter the suction strengh. It is quiet and the pump itself is clear which allows you to see the milk flow. I cannot fault this product and would recomend it for anyone that plans to pump regualary it is definatly worth the money.
