Sorry to tell you but you'll need to have glasses plus a HDTV that plays 3D as well as a 3D Blu-ray player.

There are two types of 3D, active and passive. Passive (currently only LG) uses the same glasses you use in the movie theater to see 3D. Active (Samsung, Sony, Panasonic ...) require shutter-based glasses with a battery (either replaceable or rechargeable) which are more of an inconvenience. Vizio used to offer passive but have quit the 3D business all together.

Actually Sony now offers Passive 3D on their newer 4K TVs. More companies are making the switch to passive so check with your store.

I have a Sony 3D TV, 1080p and it uses Passive, not active. It came with 4 glasses but I use the ones I get in the theater too.

Pretty much none of us can find and afford the autostereo sets but they don't require glasses.
