DVD Description

‘Intelligent, Passionate and angry comedy’ – Evening Standard
‘He has a great voice, like carved oak laced with tar and smoke..’ – The Mirror

Hell No I Ain’t Happy is the first time that Rich Hall and his jailbird uncle, Otis Lee Crenshaw, have appeared together on one DVD.

Recorded on one fantastic night at London’s legendary Hammersmith Apollo during his sell out UK tour, Rich Hall’s acerbic comic genius proves to be the perfect host to the hard living country musician Otis Lee Crenshaw, whose songs may not make the top of the country charts, but are right on the money when it comes to laughs.

Very funny :) 3 May 2011
By Fliss
I've seen Rich Hall doing 'stand-up' comedy on the tv and liked him so much that I bought this dvd. It's the first of his that I have bought so I can't compare the material with others and I'm happy not being able to do so because I found this to be hilarious! His transition in the second half of the show left me happily surprised and laughing. I love this man's sense of humour. Perhaps it's not to everyone's taste, but then if you don't like him you wont be thinking about buying this will you:) I've watched this dvd quite a few times and he still makes me laugh. Job done!

Old stuff 5 Dec 2009
By Rev_S
Rich Hall is a very funny guy, but this performance is mostly made up of ancient material (the Miss Universe routine, the Tom-Cruise-films routine, and more stuff going back years). Bizarrely, it comes with an "extra" of Rich's performance on Live At The Apollo, which entirely comprises material taken from the same set. The Otis Lee Crenshaw set is considerably longer than the comedy set and quite a lot better, though it's the most shambolic I've ever seen an Otis Lee show. If you want some country music and about 10 minutes of new comedy, this is the DVD for you.

First half is great (standup). Second half didn't work for me at all (Country music band). Would have been a lot better if he stuck with standup throughout.
