Good quality, but genuine product?

I received this knife as well as the CRKT M16-14SFG from the Amazon retailer "PoorFish Outdoors."
Through initial inspection, both knives seems to be of good quality, however I have reason to suspect that both knives are not genuine CRKT knive, but rather well-made knock-offs.
The three reasons for my suspicion are as follows:
1) A warning on the CRKT website that knocks offs of their knives are commonly found on the market
2) Comparing the knives I received to a friend's knife that he ordered and received directly from CRKT and another I received from another retailer, there was a difference in the red paint on the thumb-nock.
3) Though the knives are set up for switching between tip-up and (standard) tip-down carry, neither came with replacement screws or clip. Both the genuine model ordered from CRKT, as well as another CRKT M16-13SF that I ordered from Blade Shop, came with these replacements.
Overall, I gave these knives a 3 rating because I haven't found anything wrong with them quality-wise, and the price was good. However please be aware that there is a good chance the product is not genuine CRKT if that is important to you. Other than the differences described above, there are no other visual clues that the knives aren't genuine, however I can not attest for the type of blade material used, other than to say the initial factory edge on the knives was sufficiently sharp.

Great knife for the Money.

I had been looking for a replacement for the the Boker AK74 in desert-tan that I carried for a few years. There was nothing wrong with the Boker, I just wanted something new. One of the features I was looking for was a bigger blade but still under the 4" mark. A black CRKT M-21 caught my eye in a knife shop and the price tag was almost $80.00! (full retail IIRC)
So, I found my desert tan M-21 on Amazon for about half retail, not bad. First thing you notice with this knife is the size & shape of the blade, It's intimidating to say the least. I like the quality of the grips & liner on this knife plus, the blade has a good thickness to it as well as being sharp and holding the edge. I've had to use my new M-21 at work a few times (And gotten a few compliments) and it has not dulled up, yet. The G10 grips are a bit spindlely, a few finger grooves would be nice but the material doesn't seem like it would slip easily in the hand.
Lastly, the blade stays closed in your pocket until you need it and then opens quickly & fluidly. The auto-lock device works well, and takes some getting used to. (don't plan on closing this knife in a hurry) I would definitely buy this knife again.

this is a great knife. much much larger than I anticipated which was nice, and definitly not a knockoff. the first review worried me because I thought i might recieve the wrong item, but you get exactly what the picture shows. The blade is very sharp and opens very smooth and easily.
