my son is 4 years old and asked for football lights for above his bed. His sister has lights above her bed, heart shaped.
Only down side to football lights are the are battery powered and the cost of replacement batteries can be quiet expensive.

I bought these for my nephew's 8th birthday, as he'd just had his bedroom redecorated and a cabin bed with a 'den' beneath it, which was pretty dark. These are perfect little lights for him! The only thing is that they could have done with being slightly longer.

these lights are really effective in my sons room, they are not bright so not for reading or anything but they are round his window and are left on for him to go to sleep. they are battery run and so far we are still on the same set or rechargeables of 3 months!
