Bargain 28 April 2011
By Jonny V
Purchased two of these after me and my neighbour snapped are spades. Cheaper than going to your local DIY store and good quality. I have moved about three tons of soil and clay with mine in about a month and its perfectly fine.

Replaced a previous bent spade with this item.
Used this to shift a few tonnes of broken slate and topsoil. Apart from showing the obvious signs of wear, it remains fully usable and happy with the purchase.

Comfortable to use also - perhaps down to the wooden shaft absorbing some of the impact.

The spade digs 30 Aug 2011
Spade appears to be of good quality. Not full size but a good size all the same; I'm 6 foot and manage with it OK and my wife can use it as well. It has a plastic handle at the top of the wooden shaft which I was not expecting but seems sturdy and long-lasting. Coped well with digging into soft ground and will do well around the garden. Might be a bit careful with it under more testing circumstances.
