About the Author
Dan Ferguson is the author two earlier books, Killer Car Stereo on a Budget and Ultimate Car Audio, and numerous articles for such periodicals as Speakerbuilder. An avid speaker builder all his adult life, he is a mechanical engineer with a Master of Science degree from Clemson University. He practiced engineering for several years before entering management, and has worked at both duPont and Kimberly-Clark.

I have never read a book on car audio before although I have been installing it for 5 or so years and was looking for advanced box building techniques. I was left very dissapointed and felt that the author didn't really know what he was talking about. He left out (or did not know) facts, like the importance of bracing a box and(especially large ones)and as soon as I noticed this I found it hard to believe things that were said in the rest of the book.This book is quite bland in terms of content and page upon page are filled with unhelpful graphs and charts. In all I would not recommend this book to anyone, novice or expert.

Dan's book is not up to speed of Joe Pettit's book but is useful in everyother way. Help on DB's, woofer enclosures, Designing and building your own system a must for everyone starting to install ice. A MUST
