"Dangerously addicting."-Sherrilyn Kenyon #1 New York Times bestselling author

"Crosby serves up suspense, secrets and Southern scandal like no one else!" - Harlan Coben #1 New York Times bestselling author

Lifting the veil of secrecy on a grand Southern family in decline, New York Times bestselling author Tanya Anne Crosby explores the lives of Caroline, Augusta, and Savannah Aldridge, three sisters who share a dark past and an uncertain future...Caroline Aldridge was surprised by the number of mourners at her mother's funeral. Evidently the newspaper heiress who had caused her children so much pain was well-loved by everyone else in Charleston. Now she was gone, leaving behind countless secrets--and a few demands: Caroline and her sisters must live together for one year or lose their inheritance. And Caroline must take over The Tribune. But a killer is making headlines, and Caroline may have unwittingly stepped into the crosshairs...

A series of kidnappings and murders resurrect the sisters' memories of their brother's disappearance as a child--and Caroline fears she may be next. Yet in the midst of her turmoil, she may be rekindling a romance she'd extinguished long ago. With Jack back in her life and the tattered bonds of sisterhood slowly mending, Caroline hopes the family can restore its position in Charleston society--unless a sinister force beyond their control tears them apart forever. . .

More About the Author

Put a menu in front of me and I immediately don't know what I want. Fried green tomatoes with grits? Yep, OK. Fish? Sounds good, too. So what are you having? Maybe I'll do that too. When it comes to shoes--forget it. I end up buying nothing because I can't make up my mind. Thank God I have a husband who has great taste or my closet might be empty. I'm one of those people who suffers from acute ambivalence given too many choices, but when it comes to what I wanted to do with my life, I've known that since the age of 12--and probably long before then. It all began once upon a time after a tonsillectomy, when the doc advised mom and dad they should reward me with anything I wanted (the key word here being anything). All I wanted was dad's typewriter. I got it, of course--a black, sporty Olympia I immediately set out to wearing the letters off the keys. So here I am all these years later, with sixteen books under my belt and a new one on the way ... still wearing the letters off keyboards ... and loving every minute.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Southern Suspense 8 Mar 2013
By k.c. quinn - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a well written, almost Southern Gothic type, romantic suspense with nonstop thrills, chills, and mystery. The h/h are a former engaged couple who never stopped loving each other although they've been apart for 10 years. She comes back to town after the death of her mother, and in accordance with her mother's will must live in the family home with her two sisters for a year in order to claim their substantial inheritance. Coincidentally, there appears to be an evil killer who is stalking young women and killing them. The hero of the book is the police detective tasked with solving the crimes. I loved the characters and their relationships in this story and the chemistry between the h/h was combustible and added to the story. I very much enjoyed the breathtaking suspense and the non stop action and I hope we will be getting the other two sister's stories soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Speak No Evil 13 Mar 2013

WOW! A real page turner!!!! I read until 3:00 a.m. because once I started reading Speak No Evil I couldn't stop until I finished the book. I am mostly a historical romance fan but with Tanya Anne Crosby being one of my most favorite authors I decided to give this book a try. I was not disappointed. This book has the reader turning pages from page one. A thrilling romantic mystery, with a heroine who after her mothers death, in order to obtain her inheritance, must move back to town and live in her family home along with her two sisters for a period of one year. Add to that the suspense of murders of young women. The hero and detective on the case just happens to be, 10 years ago, the ex-fiancé of the heroine. The emotions and chemistry between the characters pull you in and make you feel a part of the book. Whenever I see Tanya Anne Crosby on a book I don't even bother to read the back of the book, it is an automatic purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened??? 10 Jun 2013

Great book until the end. Also most seemed like author god fed up writing and just decided to end book. No explanation/ motive for killer and what about mother's will? Ending so disappointing, disjointed, left more questions than answers.
Wouldn't rush to buy this author again..

5.0 out of 5 stars Speak No Evil surprised me! 18 Mar 2013

I read this book despite the fact that it is not my favorite Historical Romance genre. I fully expected to struggle to get interested in it and perhaps not be able to finish it. I should have known better! This author is one of my favorites and despite the fact that I NEVER read murder mysteries, I read this book and very much enjoyed it! As always with her books, I had trouble putting the book down to go to sleep at night. I found myself hurrying through my chores, so I could go back to reading it. Thank you for another wonderful book Tanya!!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOOOO SCARY GOOD!! 14 May 2013

Having read some of Tanya Anne Crosby's Historical books, I knew this book would be very well written, have outstanding character development and that I would become immersed in the storyline. I don't normally read suspense/thriller books because (honestly) they scare me half to death! But this story starts out innocent enough. Mother dies, after falling down her stairs, the three daughters all gather (back at their childhood home) for the reading of the will and to see who will inherit the money, the estate and the company. The details of the house and estate (all with a definite Southern flare), as well as the description ( both physically and emotionally) of the 3 sisters and the old housekeeper and her son, sets up a fast paced, page turning, enjoyable storyline. Also, throw in one sexy ex-finance - bringing some history, heartache and romance to the story. I was so drawn into the storyline that once the missing women and bodies started turning up - there was no going back! So I turned on every light in the house and kept right on reading. And what an exceptional read it was! Tanya Anne is just a magical storyteller! In the prologue to the story, Mother mentions she had just written a codicil to her will - is that new will going to be the storyline for the next book? Whatever the next book is about, I can assure you, I will be one of the first in line to purchase it! I highly recommend this book!
