Just when I was feeling deflated by the lack of summer and the current crop of pap who sound like poor 6th form bands from 1983 along comes this solid gold journey to happiness. sounds like the record collection your mad uncle left behind after disapering in Tibet in 1972 and you found under the false floor of his steam launch.

Seriously, this album is sheer brilliance, and extremely quirky. If Mr. Bungle and King Crimson had a baby, this would be it. I'm into a lot of music, ranging from jazz to avant garde to pop to rock to rap to classical... and this really takes the cake for originality.

For a band that started out sampling other peoples work, this and the previous album are rendered all the better.

This is a noisy album with creative drumming and guitar work.

It has a 60s vibe and is difficult to compare to anything else I've heard.

It's like one of those strange 60s albums that you find in your parents cupboard by some band you've never heards of. You play it and don't quite get it. Strangely though, you never forget how you felt even though you can't remember the artist or the album all these years later.

Retro and modern all at the same time.
