Ideal if you're planning a Spanish holiday and don't have much knowledge of the language beforehand. The phrasebook has a nice introduction and everything is ordered into sections which I found easy enough to navigate. In addition to the short dictionary at the back, there is also one specifically for food translations.
Whilst I probably wouldn't bother carrying the book around, it is small enough, and useful to flick through before leaving/during the flight etc.

We took this to Spain for our first trip there. The phrasebook is very informative and had most phrases and words we needed. It has informative paragraphs about the language and shows you how to pronounce as well. I reccomend these Lonely Planet guides as I also have a Polish one which was as useful as this one.

Just great, clear, easy to use and very informative. The vocabulary is all relevant and contemporary which I guess is what one should expect from Lonely Planet. Highly recommended.
