Having never been to mainland Spain, we took this book along with our minimal knowledge of the language and its pronunciation. Staying in a place where nobody spoke English, it saved us from starvation, humiliation and resorting to catching the next flight home. Generally, the locals appreciated our attempts and despite a couple of slip ups, fun was had by all.
