Just about every word we plugged into the spanish end failed to find a hit, so it was pretty useless on holiday.

Small enough to carry around, lightweight, durable plastic cover. The words to be translated are printed in blue bold type making them easy to find. An amazing number of words squeezed into 600 pages but like all pocket dictionaries it trades content for size. Excellent value for money but printed on thick, presumably cheap, paper which makes it bulky at 40mm thick, hence 4 stars.

I can also recommend the excellent Collins Gem Spanish Grammar for travellers who take their Spanish seriously.
