Raul lost his older brother when their were small children and now he lost his baby sister. He felt constant pressure to provide his ill healthed father with an heir. The story only focuses on the 2 main characters but other characters in the background do not actually interact with the hero and heroin but do get mentioned. The books I have read, written by Kate Walker are written in the same technique and surprisingly never bored me.

The Spanish Billionaire, Innocent Wife was not only full of passion as only Kate Walker can write it also was moving, full of tension with extremely believable characters. What touched me the most was Raul, he was so vulnerable with his feelings for Alannah yet intensely angry. Even though he displayed his Alpha characteristics he touched me because his feelings for her were hidden inside from the moment she lied and left him he never really got over the pain or loss. Raul's love for his sister, his lost brother and his desire to produce an heir for his father will move anyone reading this incredibly beautiful love story.

From the moment one begins reading this story set in a hospital where Alannah mourns her dead brother and friend, Lorena who turns out to be Raul's sister who has also passed, you just know that when Raul arrives on the scene the tension is going to explode......and it does with seismic force.

As their story unfolds before the reader's eyes, the sexual tension, the emotion, the pain of their love for each other will rip out your heart especially when Alannah's feelings about her love for Raul, her wanting to give him an heir and her uncertainly of his feelings for her, well trust me you won't want to miss reading this wonderful and moving story.

The Spanish Billionaire, Innocent Wife is just another example of the amazing Kate Walker and her sensual and entertaining love stories.

Frustrating and not in a good way 24 Aug 2008
By Catherine Coffinger - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The writing was excellent and the concept of the book wasn't bad but there were pages upon pages of "he means this" and "he doesn't mean that". Just tell him your feelings! I hate books where the angst is the hero and heroine don't talk to each other. If that is how their relationship is going to start then their marriage will never last. Also, I prefer to bask a little in the happy ending but this ending was a bit abrupt.

Months ago Alannah broke Raul's heart. Not that he would ever admit it to her. He wanted to marry her and she laughed at him, denying ever having had any feelings for him. So why, months later, does she still affect him as much as she did when they were involved? Raul doesn't know the answer, but he is determined to find the reason and then use it against her.

Alannah does the one thing she never thought she would ever do again. She contacts Raul Esteban and asks to meet with him. Coming face to face again with the man she has loved since she met him, Alannah knows that what she did months ago was reprehensible but she can't think about that right now. Right now she has a request of Raul and she is willing to do anything for him to grant it.

Raul vows then and there, after meeting with Alannah, that she will pay for the way she treated him. Imagine his surprise when the promiscuous woman he believes her to be turns out to be the virgin of his dreams.

Kate Walker is one of my most read authors at Harlequin. Her male characters are dominant and forceful. They demand their women and the results are steamy and sensual. Raul is such a character. He thoroughly thinks that Alannah is not to be trusted and as such, treats her exactly how he thinks a sexually active woman should be treated. Alannah, for all of her bluster and blunder, is a woman living somewhat of a lie. She isn't all that experienced and the one man that she loved lived to have her at his mercy. I was giddy with excitement as I read - not only was Raul an alpha, he was a sexy Spanish one.

SPANISH BILLIONAIRE, INNOCENT WIFE by Kate Walker takes readers on a coaster of a ride with Raul and Alannah dancing around each other trying to protect their hearts. When the smoke cleared and each character admitted his/her feelings, then the love story began. I found SPANISH BILLIONAIRE, INNOCENT WIFE to be a pleasant and interesting afternoon read.

Spanish Billionaire 3 July 2008
By M. Nix - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Hit with a terrible tragedy, Alannah is wrought with sadness, but she knows she has to gather her strength and face Raul, a man from her past and the only man she has ever loved.

Raul is surprised to see the woman who rejected him sitting in the hospital waiting room apparently waiting for him. Not knowing what she wants from him he knows for certain he only wanted her body and nothing more.

Spanish Billionaire, Innocent Wife is a good read with a dark and sad tone to it. It starts off with a very emotional Alannah struggling to keep herself together. She soon comes face to face with Raul who is quite cold in his interactions with her. Raul has reasons to be cold, Alannah broke his heart, and now secrets are revealed that connect them in a shared tragedy that builds his disdain for her. As much as he try to convince himself that he has only contemptuous feelings for Alannah, he knows it's a lie and his true feelings threaten to rise to the surface every time he's near her. Spanish Billionaire, Innocent Wife is a passionate story and Harlequin fans will not be disappointed.
