This book is fine as an introduction to Spanish cooking. All the traditional recipes are there. It does what it says on the cover, but I am only giving it 4 stars, because personally, I would have preferred a larger book which covers some of Spain's lesser known specialities.

I first saw the programe several years ago and could not find the book but that was before amazon. if you like traditional spanish cuisine this book will not dissapoint. I have tried two of the recipies so far a fantastic fish balls who my friends gave me excellent feedback and a succulent leg of lamb dish. I would have liked the book to be illustrated but for serious cooks i fully recomend this book thankyou amazon

Many cook books offer pages and pages of recipes after recipes. This is one of the best Spanish cookery books I have read. It gives you region and style and the reading is very interesting. Keep reading and enjoying. On a par with Claudia Roden, Mireille Johnston and Rick Stein - amongst others. You know what you are about to eat, and there are suggestions to tweek recipes and it is wonderful reading.

I had this book years ago, I do not know where it went. But I have it back.

If you like Spanish food, purchase this book. It is fantastic.
