Fascinating Story of an Inspired Design,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Spaceframe Moultons (Hardcover)
This book might radically change your preconceptions of good bicycle design! The book details the history of the development of space frame Moultons and provides a good overview as to the reasons for this inspired alternative design. It charts the great performance successes of these bicycles as well as including users' experiences of long distance touring and audax riding. Tony Hadland has a great skill for writing the human story behind a design such as this one. Obviously this is a "must have" for anyone into Moultons, but it will provide fascinating reading for those who have an interest in bicycle design or history.

Well researched,

This review is from: The Spaceframe Moultons (Kleine Bibliothek) (Paperback)
A thorough piece of work that was updated to include some of the recent models.
Beware though that this book is a pocket version and the reproduction is small. You'll need to look closely to read the content. If it were the size of a paperback novel, it would be easier. One for the Moulton connoisseur, only.

The next era in small wheel bicycle,
This review is from: The Spaceframe Moultons (Bicycle Science) (Hardcover)
Following on from Tony's previous book on the Moulton bicycle, this excellent book chronicles the next era in the development. With access to the Moulton archives and factory, this book is without doubt the reference book for Moulton models not only from 1982 onwards, but a brief look back at the history of the designer and his long life pursuit of creating the best bicycle.
The rides all over the world, the racing, the record breaking its all here. For all Moulton cyclists this book is not just to gather dust on the bookshelf but can be used as the authority on the Moulton. For cycling enthusiasts and historians the book will open up to a new world the development of the small wheel bicycle to where it now holds records.
