less than inspiring... 9 Mar 2012
By egoh - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I truly wanted to like this book. The cover and title drew me in. Unfortunately I just didn't find anything all that new or interesting inside. I see more inspiring, creative spaces in magazines and blogs these days. The tips are nothing new. The most difficult part, however, is the writing. I mean no disrespect to the author, her editor, etc., but a book packed with run-on sentences of 50+ works (some 70+) that don't really say anything is extremely difficult to read through. The sentence structure and typos just don't make sense to me in this day and age. Where was the editor? :(

MEH. 10 April 2014

I wanted to like this book but it was pretty lame for lack of a better term. It was like one giant ehow article or something that spits how generic how to advice and the worst part of all is the writer is just a writer, not an expert on office design. How can I take advice from someone who isn't an expert?

Big bold pictures that cover every taste...sleek, cozy, flea market and everything in between. The book covers furniture, lighting, storage, home offices and rooms for all ages. It's a simple but nice book with some fun ideas.
