Mellow Yellow by Oddell Brown and the Organizers is one of those jewels that has gotten lost through the years. It is no longer available in the US as far as I can find. There was great rock and folk music in the '60, but that isn't all. This album features a wonderful light Jazz sound that is timeless. It received excellent reviews from the Jazz community at the time of its release, but I'm afraid most of the attention then was on rock music, so it got overlooked by the general populace, even though it did climb on the Billboard charts for a bit. If you can get your hands on a copy, you will be in for a treat. Brown organ playing is outstanding, his treatment of the title song has stayed with me for all of these years. This is a great jazz album that is overdue a re-release.
