Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The exciting new 7 inch portable TV from SOVOS UK receives traditional analogue TV plus up to 75 digital Freeview TV and Radio channels. This includes all your current terrestrial favourites (BBC, ITV etc) plus a wide range of new and exciting digital Freeview channels, all with a glorious High Resolution picture! You can use the on screen 7-day Electronic Programme Guide to see whats on and the built in recorder (records to a USB stick) allows you to pause and record Live Digital TV programmes, so you can save them for playback later. A rechargeable battery pack is included that provides up to 2.5 hours of playback, so you can enjoy TV out in the park, or in your tent.

Perfect for keeping up-to-date with this year’s sporting events - even if you’re in an area outside of Freeview reception it also has a traditional analogue tuner as backup. It receives virtually all analogue signals and free-to-air digital terrestrial channels within the DVB-T regions of Europe which makes it ideal when caravanning on the continent. As with all mobile digital TV products, the TV should be stationary to receive a good quality Digital Freeview TV Signal.

SOVOS Kitchen TV 21 Dec 2010
This little 7 inch tv gives superb pictures. The sound is somewhat harsh and it would have been nice to have some form of tone control. I initially set it up from the house loft aerial - Freeview. However we've not got a coax connection in the kitchen, so I tried to get a signal via the supplied amplified aerial. I could achieve around 80% signal strength but there was no quality percentage shown and hence no picture. However, connecting it to the Philex SLX Gold amplified aerial (model 27769R) brought the tv into life. I had already purchased the SLX anticipating that I would have difficulty in getting a picture having read reviews of other small tvs here. I would have given it five stars had the aerial been good enough to get a picture. It may be because the screened lead - I could not call it a coax as it's pretty thin - is not beefy enough to keep the signal clean enough. Strength of the digital signal transmission is very much a lottery.

The tv comes with a lithium battery and car adapter. I'm unlikely to use these as the set is screwed to the side of the oven housing using "Swish" curtain fittings as standoffs. They make a neat installation.

Knowing what I know now, would I buy it again? The answer must be a YES.

Very nice little device 20 April 2011
This is a nice portable TV from Sovos, with its vibrant and sharp 7 inch backlit LCD display, this makes the perfect travel companion and to protect your device, I'd recommend Staples' neoprene up-to 7 inch notebook case as it's a perfect fit for this device (see product imagery) and also this: 7"- 9" Netbook Case Bag Ultraportable Laptop Case by UKSC in Black For Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Compaq, Fujitsu, Samsung, Sony, MSI, Lenovo, Toshiba, for all the extras (battery, cables etc). I couldn't be happier with my little TV.
