I would say this is the best Outkast album. That may be deemed controversial but I stand by it. The bass heavy Hootie Hoo is probably their best work. While this doesn't have the commerciality of Stankonia or their later albums, this shows them at their youthful pinnacle.

Amazing, intelligent rap album by a couple of good ol' american southerners! Every track is a gem, outkasts debut album from 94 is a damn good one. buy it for your own sake! i only didnt give it 5 because of one speaking interlude in which white people are slagged off and stereotyped,it could cause offence, but oh well, we can take it!

This album changed the face of hip-hop and should be considered on the top 10 LPs of the 90s. Southernplayalisticadillacmusik not only started the careers of Big Boi and Andre but it also place the South on the hip hop map. This LP opened the doors for the No Limit soldiers and Cash Money millionaires dominating the industry today. A true classic with great production from Earthtone III and classic joints like 'Playa's Ball', this LP is a must have
