I remember this as an CBS LP from my youth and how I loved the music. I still have the vinyl but it is old, mono and full of jumps and skips. I missed this music very much for a long time. It was with great pleasure that I found this album being issued on a long awaited CD. I immediately bought it and played it that night. I was transported back to the 60's and had a lovely experience. The music is innovative, soft, melodic and very stirring. Brubeck is not to everybody's liking but he floats my boat and this CD really is the cat's pyjamas!

an excellent album with some wonderful music on it.
I once owned the vinyl LP, and having this CD really is a treat.
the bonus tracks add icing on the cake......

It was wonderful to find The Riddle now available on CD. I had the record in the late 50s, gave it away (dont ask me why) and have regretted it ever since. My daughter bought me the LP from Ebay a few years ago, but the first track was warped and the

pleasure was ruined. This CD is a must have for Brubeck enthusiasts. I attended a concert in Bristol in the late 50s which included most of these performers, a concert I have never forgotten.
