Product Description

Product Description

A young tourist's wild visit to Mexico City leads him into the arms of a prostitute and a night of chilling adventures. But it's not until he meets two fellow gringos that his life takes a serious turn for the worse. Curious about the Teotihuacan pryamids outside the city and the meaning behind the name: "where man met the gods", the three set off on a reckless, drug-fueled adventure and into a nightmarish world they aren't prepared for. Decades later, two of the men are mysteriously summoned back to Mexico by a man they believed was dead, only to discover that there are fates much worse than death.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gritty, quick adventure- well worth checking out! 12 April 2013

I loved the dusty, gritty portrayal of life in a seemingly timeless patch of Mexico. Two men out to rescue their old travelling companion discover more about themselves and how their old stomping grounds have changed than they bargain for. The descriptions are clear, the dialogue believable (a huge compliment in my book) and the writing is well put and highly enjoyable. I wish this story were longer, in the 300-400 page range. The plot could definitely handle it, as multi-layered as the characters and story are. The author obviously knows what he is talking about, and pulls no punches nor insults the reader's intelligence. A highly recommended adventure!

This short story was not so bad,it got a little boring, but did not stay like that for too long. It got better towards the ending. I was really shocked to see how it ended. I was also shocked to know what really happened to Jimmy.I originally gave it 3 stars but because of the ending it went up to 4 stars. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a mystery.

Ok this is the third short story in a row I've read from this author. It's going to take a minute to process what happened. This is really an awesome book with a great ending. Wow!! I did not see that coming. I think I need to go read a nice war story now to get my heart beating at a normal rate again. Great job, Dennis!
