This is a great book in pictures for South Africa. I got it for the wild life, but the book goes beyond and covers towns, people, wine areas and scenery. I am planning a trip to South Africa and will be taking pictures myself. Is book has great pictures and will tempt you to travel there. I hope my pictures are half as good as the ones in this book.

Michael Poliza's always-stunning images pop in this new book, which features a break from some of his previous African photography into some sociological issues (albeit seen from above) Rich colors, fresh compositions, and vivid scenes jump from the page. The patterns, vistas and scenes that are portrayed are truly one of a kind. I loved "Africa" and "Antarctica" and wondered how he could top himself. He has. "South Africa" may be Poliza's best to date...getting it at this paperback price is a steal!

I was given this book recently as a gift and it was everything i could hope for. i traveled to South Africa myself for a month two years ago and visited a wide range of the country, and this book does a beyond fantastic job of capturing the natural wonder that South Africa is.
