I bought this for a recent trip from Cape Town to Kruger National Park. I was immediately struck by the number of typos and outright errors, the strange organization of the maps, and the inclusion of arbitrary and useless "helpful facts" on each page. I'm used to a pretty high standard of road atlas from Frommer's or Michelin, and this is nowhere close.
On our first day in South Africa, we were able to find far superior road atlases. The best was the road atlas published by AA, South Africa's version of AAA; also good was the MapStudio road atlas. Both will serve you far better if you're interested in such minor details as roads, cities, and distances.
