Book Description

4 Feb 2010 Chic Guides
This is a land of vast horizons, where cerulean skies arch overhead as far as the eye can see, where great beasts walk and the ground trembles underfoot with distant thunder. Metropolises pulse with energy, alive with urban cacophony. Fecund, rolling landscapes are bordered by cloud-crowned mountain ranges. Far away from the electric razzle-dazzle of city lights, the wild beauty of the bushveld reigns, and the Big 5 roam. This is South Africa. Taking the reader on a journey through this mesmerising country, South Africa Chic is the essential travel companion, revealing panoramas of luxury and adventure. South Africa Chic is a showcase of the country s most elegant and stylish properties, profiling each of them in turn to help readers plan their ideal holiday. From five-star resorts on exclusive Plettenberg Bay and lush vineyard hotels in the Cape Winelands to stately country houses, Johannesburg boutique hotels and luxurious safari lodges in the heart of Kruger National Park, South Africa Chic has it all. HIGHLIGHTS - Chapter introductions give an overview of South Africa. - Background information to help readers better appreciate and understand the country and its attractions. - Vivid photographs showcase the beauty and charm of each establishment. - Practical information on all establishments. - Maps show each establishment s location. - Detailed profiles of over 60 stylish establishments with full contact information.
