... this is the one to choose.
Bought for our second trip to South Africa in two years, we reviewed the available material with reasonably current knowledge of the region. Not only did we agree with most of the material presented, we found it very complete and generally well organised.
If we have one criticism, the 'what to see' sections for each region (or subregion) are organised alphabetically. This is OK if you have a good knowledge of the geography, but (especially as this is from the AA) it would have been nice to have the 'what to see' information arranged along one or more driving itineraries.
That said, it's a brilliant book with excellent photography, content and organisation.

Format:Spiral-bound
Book seemed very disjointed. I have alwys bought The Lonely Planet guide before but as we were going on an organised trip it seemed a bit too big and too much information for this trip. It was a mistake to buy this little bok as it had far too sketchy information, I know it was really for people who drive themselves but I would say that wouldn't give you enough info either. I would not recommend this travel guide at all.
