I have tried several of these soup recipes and they are very simple to follow and each one has worked wonderfully, very tasty and satisfying soups. The usual favourites are in there like leek and potato/carrot and corriander/broccoli and stilton and well as some more . . . er . . . exotic such as mango orange and ginger/malaysian chicken laska / leek and orange vichysoisse, (I have yet to try any of these!). There is even a chocolate soup!
Some of the ingredients lists are quite long but at the very begining they do say you can often substitute ingredients depending on whats available in your kitchen however with 365 recipes there is bound to be something you can make without straying too far from the recipe.
At the back is a recipe section for making your own stock - a long process so not always possible but nice to know how to use up left over bones from the sunday roast.
This book is an absolute essntial item in any cooks kitchen - I have made many soups prior to owning this and they never turned out quite right - too thin, too thick, too creamy etc. This books helps get quantities just right - that said, they offer a guide as to how many portions each soup makes, be warned they are not very generous. Probably intended as a starter where as i have soup as a main meal (or am just very greedy!).
Buy it, you wont regret it!
