How has it taken so long to rerelease this album? If you love Nothing But A Heartache - one of the all-time great girl group songs - you'll be amazed by the quality of the rest of the tracks. As stated in the liner notes, Sounds Like the Flirtations was conceived as an album first and foremost, with none of the usual filler. All the tracks were written and produced by Englishmen Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington, and it's surprising they never really cracked the big time with this album. A true lost gem.

I bought the mp3 download " SUPER SOUL BEST " it has all these tracks plus two more....its one of my favourite albums....buy it in either format and you will be well rewarded.....these girls have been singing together for 45 years apparently ,I only stumbled across them recently....but very glad i did.....at the time of writing both versions are on offer for under £7.00....TOTAL BARGIN.

I have had the lp since release and it was great to get on cd as it had extra tracks. Nothing but a Heartache is the most well known song but it really is a great cd and as it was written by two british writers and Recorded in Britain it is a really great soul cd. If you like Northern soul and great girl soul singers buy it you will not be disappointed.
