The DSCF are pushing for the Letter and Sounds initiative to cover the whole 0-5 age range and this series answers that remit! These four books are differentiated to meet the particular developmental stages of the framework and clearly linked to the developmental statements, so they can be used in all sorts of schools and settings. They offer appropriate activities in four age bands, closely matched to the EYFS, and giving children a thorough grounding in the essential skills they need to become good readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 17 July 2010
By Peggy
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
We are a pre-school and forever searching for new ideas, this book and its partner 30-50 months is excellent, it covers all areas of Letters and Sounds phase one, with added extras for parents etc.
Its a great staff resource and its the type of book to dip in and out of. It does have activities we have been doing for years BUT also it adds new and extended ideas its great to get you thinking again. Good for new and older staff, get you motivated for fun learning. Also we are part of ECAT programme and tutors have been impressed with it.
