I bought this book because my 2 year old is mad about Fireman Sam. The one thing toddlers like about Fireman Sam is his siren, and this book seems to be perfect for that, Sam's siren at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, this is not what you get. The siren in the book is not Sam's siren, but that of an american police car. What possessed the manufacturers to stick the wrong siren on it and disappoint hundreds of kids around the world? They didn't even bother sticking a Fire engine siren in. Surely there should be no copyright issues since the images are in deed those of Fireman Sam. To think some clueless manufacturer can be so careless is infuriating.

Almost read every evening to my 4 year old son. Have to translate on the fly as we are dutch ;-). Love the series.
The sound does get anoying in the end, but he loves the book so much.
