While Black Star feels the full force of the samurai bodyguard Mifune's Infinite-One-Sword Style, Sid completes his mission to infiltrate the Arachnophobia base and destroy it and the demon tool it contains. Afterwards Black Star doesn't take the result of his battle well and begins to challenge other students to duels in an attempt to get stronger. Meanwhile Death the Kid is sent on a mission to find another demon tool and the motives of Shinigami-sama become a little suspect.
This is another very good volume of the `Soul Eater' manga. The battle between Black Star and Mifune is great and nicely shows why Mifune's soul is worth ninety-nine regular souls. The volume also sees some advancement to the plot with the return of an old enemy and some doubt raised about Shinigami-sama himself. Alongside all this is the usual humour and nice artwork, and give this volume a full five stars rating.
