Great value double CD containing over 20 classic, rare, hard to find soulful disco gems. This album follows in the steps of the highly successful Disco Spectrum series that Joey and Sean compiled for BBE. Focusing in the more soulful and funky end of the ever popular 70’s music form the original 12” of this album would cost you several £1000’s if you were lucky enough to find them. Many of the tracks contained here are ones you will have heard in disco sets from Dimitri from Paris or Joey Negro. Over half of the tracks included on SOD appear in exclusive DJ Friendly RE-EDITS by either Joey or Sean. Some very tasty high lights include the ultra sough after Walter Gibbons mix of Gladys Knight “Better than Goodtime”, Adrenilin’s back street instrumental version of David Bendeth’s “Feel the Real” and the promo only 12” version of Ashford and Simpson “One more Try”.

Format:Audio CD
The boys have always in the past produced really ace compilations. This however is nowhere near as good as we have been brought up to expect from them. Disc one is good, particularly Mel Sheppard and most of the other tracks are of similar quality. Disc two is a real disappointment; there is not a single track that I would consider worth playing at gig. It's a shame but there are only so many really good disco records and there is a danger in assuming that because something is rare that it is good.

HERE ARE ALL THE ARTISTS!!!!

Format:Audio CD
Joey Negro and Sean P compiled this music but they DID NOT re-record it. It is by the original artists. However the track listing lacks most of the artists in it's listing and that may be misleading, so I am supplying all the artists here. This compilation includes the rare and hard to find Walter Gibbons remix of It's a Better Than A Good Time by Gladys Knight, a totally different version than the popular extended disco version.
